All non-perishable food donations are welcome.
We also accept pet (dog and cat) food and some non-food items such as paper towels, facial tissue, bath tissue, and reusable tote bags.
Please do NOT donate badly damaged or dented cans, opened packages, or canned goods past their expiration date plus six months,
Non-perishable foods we always need:
Sorry, we can NOT accept perishable food.
The following locations accept food donations on behalf of the Easton Food Pantry during their business hours:
Regarding capacity we have the following:
Two large container pods in the rear of the Fellowship Church. As we get into winter months, we can easily store large quantities of goods that are not affected by freezing (e.g. pasta, cereal, paper goods etc), but not goods subject to freezing
We have two large rooms in the church itself for goods that do freeze.
We have about seven large commercial freezers and refrigerators for perishable goods.
We have a fleet of 3 box trucks and one van. The trucks are both refrigerated and unrefrigerated. We use these for pickups, both locally and most important from the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB).
So everything is timing. We distribute every Monday from 11:30 AM to 3 PM. We do pickups of bread/bakery products from Roche Brothers and Shaws on Monday mornings all year. We take in HUGE quantities of produce from Langwater Farms in the summer and then lesser quantities of mostly root vegetables most of the winter excepting late winter/early spring. We also get produce donations from Stonehill College and the local collective gardens at Stonehill College and Wheaton Farm.
Immaculate Conception Church gives a HUGE amount of food week in and week out all year long. The St Vincent DePaul Society of Immaculate conception church pays for milk at Roche Brothers so often it is close to the whole year. The STV dePaul also pays for the extras for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
Food drives by churches and other groups run all year. We try to coordinate them and space them all.
Easton Public Schools
What we ask of each school is that they give us goods that are well sorted so we can simply put the plastic bins into our storage areas. There is NO STATE or LOCAL standard for expiration dates, but the de facto standard is the GBFB which is expiration date PLUS six months, so do not waste time checking dates. Do spend time sorting canned carrots from canned string beans etc. With donated goods, size is also a factor so sort as best you can. Humorous side note: as there are so many types of beans we call all but string beans Crazy Beans!
Please remember this key fact: we are all volunteers who want to do good and have fun doing it!

Your generosity has filled our shelves more than we ever expected, and we’re truly grateful. Because we’re out of storage space, we kindly ask that new food drives pause until after the New Year. If you’d still like to help, monetary donations make the biggest impact and allow us to support Easton families in the months ahead. Thank you for all you do.
